Vaibhav Arora’s journey into the TATA IPL began quietly, as a 22-year-old net bowler with Punjab Kings after just one Ranji Trophy season, but his ability to swing the ball quickly caught attention. A natural swing bowler, Arora impressed scouts with his control and his knack for troubling left-handers in particular. Kolkata Knight Riders were the first to sign him for IPL 2021, although he didn’t get a game. By then, he had already made a strong impression in domestic cricket, including a memorable List A debut where he picked up 4 for 45 and claimed a hat-trick. Punjab Kings brought him back for INR 2 Crore in 2022, handing him his IPL debut, where he featured in five matches. KKR re-signed him ahead of IPL 2023.
